Praise To Light

"Let there be light"´ And there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good, and God divided the light from darkness...'
Here are some of the first new words of the bible.
How can we be indifferent to such an event?
And this led me to write a little article about light.

Who amongst us doesn't like the light?
This light, that comes the morning, announces the arrival of a new day where you can at your leisure vacate to your occupations, surrounded by so much brightness
We do not even realize the benefits of this light, that we take for granted.

Doesn't the radiance of this light put you in a good mood?
It has all we need to be delighted.
Wherever we are, it is there and seems to invite us to take advantage of it.
Is it not thanks to it that we appreciate beauty?
If it weren't for light, how would we keep the image of a landscape, a face.
Was it a mirage? Maybe

One must believe that light is one of the most beautiful treasures this world gave us. Could we live without ité I doubt it.
Light is silent, even mysterious.
It pours out all over the universe and yet it belongs to each one of us, like if it is our own. We will not change it for nothing in this world.

Indeed, what can replace ité
We associate light with vision, our eyes feast of all it enables us to see, to perceive. We are free to benefit and to use it as we wish.
Can we share ité
I think so, in as much as we talk to others about it, inviting them to take advantage of the marvelous gifts it offers.

I cannot imagine a world without light. It would be too sad.
Yes, there is the night, and even with its darkness can reveal some pleasures, but sorry, no comparison.
I will not even think like James Turner who said:'' There are two kinds of light- the glow that illuminates, and the glare that obscures''
Life was made to be lived in the day, in all its shining light.
I consider myself most happy to enjoy this gift and I am certainly sad to know that some others do not have this privilege. And that is why I will remain hooked to it.

I am not a scientist and will not look to know where this light comes from, how it did to arrive all the way to me and splash me with its glares.
Needless to think that it is a question of particles called photons that originate from the sun at an unbelievable speed. No, this I do not understand.
I have light and it suffices me.

You can now understand why I love light. I believe I love it as much as water, air and fire. I love this light that gives me a taste for life, that pushes me to go further, that wants me to share my happiness with the human race that will enrich itself with this marvel.

I am tempted to finish this praise to light by using an extraordinary sentence by no one else than Leo Tolstoy who gives amazing finer description to light.
''A man who lives an intellectual life is like a man who carries a lantern in front of him to light his way. Such a person will never come to a dark place, because the light of his intellect moves before him. There is no fear of death in this kind of life, because the lantern which moves before you lights your way to your last minute, and you follow it to the end as calmly and quietly as you have all of your life…''
