What have we done to God

What have we done to the Good Lord to make him behave in this way?
To begin with, I must insist that to appreciate this text, the reader must believe in the Good Lord.

Two months ago we have been experiencing a pandemic like never before and the world is upside down.
Scientists and scholars from all over the world are trying to understand this virus and they are all speechless.
Believers, on the other hand, are asking the question: why did God send us such a virus that kills thousands of people every day, without stopping?

The answer is simple: we have screwed up, demolished, destroyed his planet.
Yes, I say his planet, it was his before he gave it to us.
And what have we done with his planet?
For the benefit of mankind, deforestation has grown incredibly fast across the planet. Destroying all animal life living peacefully in these forests. Similarly for marine life, the oceans have become plastic waste dumps causing the death of so much aquatic life.

These are only two examples, but I believe they are major. This lack of respect for nature certainly did not please the creator and it seems that he has decided to punish us.
How?
By preventing us from respecting the deceased, our family, our friends who die alone without funeral ceremonies. Poor respect! It is gone too.

I am going to say something that will not please all.
The tendency of man's heart is bad, and this from his youth.
He has desires, yes, but these, because of his pride, go beyond the norm, this rule, this law to which one must conform. He wants. He wants more. He feels strong, stronger than his neighbor and surely wants more than him. Look at the billionaires nowadays. Are they content? Never. For them it would be a sign of weakness. So we go on.

For more than two months now, this pandemic has been wreaking havoc, with 250,000 deaths worldwide and nearly 65,000 in the United States alone at the beginning of May 2020. And this could last all year long. At this rate, I believe that in December 2020, we will have reached 400,000 in the United States and nearly 1,500,000 worldwide.

Does the Good Lord want this?
It seems so, because everyone is guilty and everyone pays wherever they live and whatever they do. A way of saying: in my eyes you are all equal. You have benefited from the goodness of my land and now that you have defiled it, well, you will pay, and with your life

A good God suddenly becomes mean, you will tell me.
Indeed, I firmly believe that it has been like this since the beginning of time, whether we know it or not. You only have to read the Bible and see dozens and dozens of situations where he has been good on the one hand and mean on the other.
A very simple example: he brought the Hebrews out of Egypt and in his goodness freed them from slavery, but killed thousands of Egyptians in the process.

The atheists will certainly not agree with my reasoning, good for them, but today God does not make any distinction, religious, agnostic or simple citizens, we all taste it. The world can pray, which it often does in cases like this, but nothing helps. The doctors of the world go on for days and nights without finding a vaccine, and it is still not found.

What hurts the heart is that this same doctor is also dying from this virus when he is there to save lives. Go figure!
No! We do not understand.
It seems that life has stopped being normal. We live in a total confinement that does not allow us to see our loved ones, that makes us lose the taste of everything, let alone make any plans.

Does God want all this?
Most probably to show us that we are nothing. That we have no control. That it is he who decides!
I hope that humans will understand this state of affairs. Unfortunately, this is not the case, because humans are like that, once the pandemic is over, they will return to their usual way of doing things and will have forgotten the hard lesson they have lived through.
