CONVERSATION WITH GOD

I've been waiting for this opportunity to talk to our dear Creator for a long time and the opportunity has come, so I'm taking it.

It is curious, however, that I desire so much to speak to God, when it has been some years since I have respected Him as in the old days. Indeed, for many years of my youth, I was very attached to Him, but the vagaries of life are such that sometimes our thoughts and beliefs change.

Anyway, these days, considering the COVID 19 pandemic, it became urgent to understand the why of what is happening.
I remember that amonth ago, I wrote an article entitled: WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO THE GOOD GOD?

And now, I'll start with a simple little question:
( J stands for Jacques and G for God)

Dear Good Lord,

J- Why did you send us this Pandemic?
G- I will answer with a simple question: Why do you think I have anything to do with this problem?
J- But I understand that you are omnipresent and omnipotent, so you know what is going on and maybe you are the cause of all this.
G-Very nice of you to give me these compliments but I don't see what your pandemic has to do with me.

J- Good God! So I'm the one who's mistaken to think that you had something to do with it.
G- You see, my boy, since I gave you this earth, telling you to enjoy it and do all the good with it, you ended up destroying it. And I believe that today, she is showing her disagreement with your treatment of her.
J- So, it's not you who caused the pandemic, but rather the earth?
G- You can look at it that way. I would ask you to put yourself in my shoes and tell me if you believe that what men do on earth is not the cause of the pandemic. You see, I gave you this World, you can build is as you can destroy it. It's up to you, but I confess that I trust you and hope that you will behave like a man. However, because of your greed, your covetousness, your extreme gluttony and more, you have chosen the opposite of what I would have liked.

J-God, I understand you, but man is what he is, and sometimes he can't change.
G- Ah yes, he can't change? Have you changed? I think so, you have changed by adapting to the different situations that have presented themselves to you. But the majority is not you, so the majority takes the damage.
J- But then, for God's sake, why should I suffer too if I am not guilty like them?
G-  I understand you and can't help it.
J- What do you mean, you can't help it? So is it you or the Earth that caused this pandemic? Because you see, for two months now, your world has been suffering and dying.
G- Yes, I'm with you, it's my world that's suffering and the culprit is still man.
Listen, my boy, this pandemic, as you call it, is nothing compared to the disasters that man triggers all day long. Do you know how many forests around the world man has destroyed? And why to use the wood for your wonderful consumption. We make buildings, furniture, toys, and also matches, and all this to please you, to amuse you. Without thinking about the poor animals that live in these forests that have always been there in their natural habitat. Well, you've ruined it.

J- Indeed, I have to agree with you Good God, because yes, I recognize that man is sometimes bad. But this pandemic is also bad. We don't live like we used to. We don't recognize our neighbors anymore. We are obliged to wear a mask to avoid endangering the other person who is also wearing it to supposedly protect me. It remains that all this is not very pleasant. We do not go out anymore because most of the shops are closed for security reasons. We keep asking ourselves when all this is going to end and I was counting on you to give me some hope.
G-  You see young man, I understand you, but I repeat, I have nothing to do with your pandemic.
nothing to do with your pandemic. I am convinced that it is still one of your men who caused this catastrophe, because seeing what he did I know that he is capable of it. And curiously if man is capable of doing evil, he is also capable of doing good. Let him stop for a moment producing so many weapons to wage wars left and right, causing deaths here and there. Let him think instead of helping the most destitute, those who have no roof over their heads and who never eat their fill. There are so many of them, but the man does not see them, so busy that he wants to increase his portfolio no matter if there are victims in the process. Yes, he always wants to be bigger, richer, more powerful. One wonders why if he knew that sooner or later he would leave without taking anything with him. He thinks he is intelligent but he is not. One day, he will realize it and that day, it will be too late. You know, I've seen it and I know what I'm talking about.
J-God, I follow you, hear you and understand you, the fact remains that we, here, can't solve our problem and if you are not the cause, maybe there is a way to help us.
G-I am heartbroken, but your crime is too great and it will take as long to be forgiven as it will take to repair the harm you have done. When all these forests and oceans return to their original state, perhaps then it will be your turn to be saved.
J- But come on, that will take years! A tree doesn't grow overnight.
G- Yes, I know that, but you should have thought about it before.
